Philip Wylie

11/05/1902 - 24/10/1971Philip Wylie was an American author who wrote in various genres, including science fiction, mystery, and social criticism. Much of his work was aimed at denouncing what he perceived as dangerous social trends, particularly in his radical 1951 novel "The Disappearance". He played a major role in shaping contemporary American science fiction literature and also had a significant influence on Superman's creators.
